October 28th, 2008Small step for humankind, big step for man: I've finished my first proper game, Pitchblackoids! By first I mean first written in C++, first on a 32bit platform, first not in BASIC, first in a decade. By proper, I just mean that it has a front-end, it has sound effects and background "music", most of the basic facilities (levels and progression, basic AI, pause, highscore save/load, loads of particles and some other effects)... XRhodes collision detection demo (updated)
September 16th, 2008The amount of refactoring the collision detection subsystem needed was beyond expectations. The saddest part of the process was when I realized that only the slightest of changes was necessary to the Collider class itself.

August 26th, 2008After I published the downloadables, people were reporting the OSX version crashing. The problem has now been solved, both OSX and Win32 versions have been upgraded. I've also included the application's source in the packages so you can see what XRhodes code was needed to achieve the functionality you can see in the demo. Click for the links.
